Deh Sciogliete, O Mesti Luni (Sopran.AltPos.TenPos.Orgel) (The aria, Deh sciogliete, o mesti lumi, was written for alto and tenor trombone, unison violins, bassoon, soprano, and basso continuo. The original manuscript can be found at the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Vienna (Mus.Hs. 17.120). The aria is in the typical ABA form. In the "B" section there is a unison violin part similar to the bassoon part in the "A" section. Both the violin and bassoon parts have been assimilated into the realization of the organ/keyboard part. This publication, therefore, provides a performing edition for alto trombone, tenor trombone, soprano, and organ/keyboard. Translated, the text becomes: "Ah, free and nourish me, o unhappy lights, from my sadness, in waves of love, now that dead is my Lord. If it is not enough, the crying rivers of tears, then at least it shows that for His death, I live my life with tears accompanying my sorrow.")
