Waltzes from Der Rosenkavalier op.59 (Richard Strausss most well-known comic opera, Der Rosenkavalier has a most elaborate and convoluted plot. However, knowing all its ins and outs are not necessary with Ralph Sauers gorgeous arrangement of the suite of Waltzes, Opus 59 for Tuba or Bass Trombone with Piano accompaniment. Written at the very end of the Romantic era in 1911, the melodies are beautiful, the harmonies lush and the rhythms intoxicating. For advanced performers this 12 minute work )
