Syd The Spoon    “Syd the Spoon” was written for John D Elliott’s lower brass group “Brasso ProFUNdo” as a sequel to “Fred the Fork”. It is in a lively 4/4 time but with the inclusion of triplet rhythms, which could be complemented with a spoon accompaniment. The theme is in the minor key with major version of the theme in the middle section. The piece contains cryptic tributes to a 1940s Big band leader. Some later thinking is required to connect the finale with a famous animator.  “Syd the Spoon” is originally scored for two euphoniums (trombones) and a tuba, however we have included a range of parts to suit:    Part 1  Euphonium/Trombone - Bass Clef  Euphonium/Trombone - Treble Clef  Horn in F  Tenor Horn in Eb    Part 2   Euphonium/Trombone - Bass Clef  Euphonium/Trombone - Treble Clef    Part 3  Eb Bass  Tuba
