Somber and Jovial By the title, it is obvious that the two movements: Somber and Jovial are in contrasting styles. Somber is marked as a Lento with the subtitle Prelude. Jovial is marked moderately fast with the subtitle Rondo. Altogether, the work is about 8 minutes long and is appropriate for moderately advanced performers. Solo part is all in bass clef.
