Sunbeam (Partitur) Neuheit Posaune) Sunbeam differs from the conventional idea of a trombone concerto. It is a work composed with measured steps, not haste-like walking across a landscape while the world rushes by. Here, the trombone is not projected as a vehicle of power, but as a voice thinking out loud. Likewise, the orchestra does not oppose it; it engages in conversation. Sunbeam turns its gaze to the edges of light: the first beam of morning - tentative, clear - and the last of dusk - warm, weary, almost memory. Internationally recognized for his stylistic versatility, Alexandros Livitsanos has collaborated with major orchestras, artists, and institutions worldwide, including Alexandre Desplat, Canadian Brass, Michel Legrand, The King’s Singers, the Onassis Foundation, the Athens State Orchestra, the E.R.T. Symphony Orchestra, El Sistema Greece Youth Orchestra, and the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2023, he co-created Matchbox The Musical (Onassis Stegi) with Yannis Niarros - one of the venue’s most successful productions - and composed the score for Antonis Tsonis film Brando with a Glass Eye, recorded with the City of Prague Symphony Orchestra. That same year, he also scored Broken Vein by Yannis Economides and The Birthday Party by Miguel Angel Jiménez, starring Willem Dafoe. A leading figure in the contemporary Greek music scene, Livitsanos is widely known for his cross-genre collaborations and his work for theatre, film, and education. He was named an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2024/2025.
